Bollywood music composer Amaal Mallik has ignited a fresh controversy in the Indian music industry after sharing a strongly worded post on X (formerly Twitter). Although he did not directly mention Tanishk Bagchi by name, Amaal’s remarks clearly pointed toward the composer, accusing him of multiple unethical practices related to music production and promotions. The explosive post has quickly gone viral, triggering widespread discussion among music lovers, industry insiders, and social media users. Serious Allegations Rock Bollywood Music Industry In his lengthy statement, Amaal referred to the composer as “Mr Remix & Destroyer of Originals” and accused him of taking credit for songs, copying compositions, using paid public relations campaigns, and attempting to damage his reputation. Amaal also questioned why the composer was allegedly targeting Yash Raj Films over royalty issues despite previously claiming that T-Series owed him significant payments. His comments came shortly after reports emerged regarding a royalty dispute involving the title track of Saiyaara, adding another layer to the ongoing debate. Claims Over ‘Saiyaara’ Intensify the Controversy One of the most talked-about parts of Amaal Mallik’s post involved allegations surrounding the upcoming film Saiyaara. According to Amaal, the project allegedly involved music originally associated with Faheem Abdullah and Arsalan Nizami. He claimed that the opportunity was secured unfairly, though these allegations remain his personal claims and have not been independently verified. The composer further alleged similarities between the song Saiyaara and Humnawa Mere, while also suggesting that professional relationships within the industry prevented some artists from publicly commenting on the matter. Accusations of Copying Original Music Amaal Mallik went on to accuse the unnamed composer of repeatedly borrowing from Pakistani songs, traditional folk melodies, and YouTube covers. In his post, he alleged that even compositions promoted as original were influenced by previously existing music. These statements have fueled intense debate online, with fans discussing originality, music credits, copyright concerns, and creative integrity in Bollywood. As of now, no official evidence has been presented publicly to substantiate these allegations. Paid PR and Industry Politics Apart from music-related claims, Amaal also alleged that paid public relations campaigns were being used against him. He claimed rival groups within the film industry were attempting to affect the performance of his upcoming project Awarapan 2 and its soundtrack by creating negative publicity online. Despite these accusations, Amaal expressed confidence that audiences—not promotional campaigns—ultimately decide the success of music and films. Amaal Thanks Fans Despite the Ongoing Dispute Before launching his criticism, Amaal Mallik had thanked listeners for supporting his latest musical release. He encouraged fans to allow songs enough time to connect with audiences naturally, emphasizing that meaningful music often grows gradually rather than becoming an instant sensation. His appreciation for fans contrasted sharply with the aggressive tone of his later statements, making the controversy even more noticeable. No Official Response From Tanishk Bagchi Yet At the time of writing, Tanishk Bagchi has not issued any public statement responding to Amaal Mallik’s allegations. The absence of an official reply has only intensified online speculation, with fans eagerly waiting to see whether the composer will address the accusations or choose to remain silent. Final Thoughts Amaal Mallik’s explosive social media post has become one of the biggest talking points in the Bollywood music industry. His allegations regarding originality, royalties, paid PR campaigns, and industry politics have generated widespread discussion among fans and professionals alike. Since these claims are currently one-sided, audiences will likely wait for any official clarification or response from Tanishk Bagchi before drawing conclusions. Until then, the controversy continues to dominate entertainment headlines and social media conversations across India. The Source of this news is Bollywood Hungama.
